Why Apply?
- A $3,600 scholarship for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th years of your undergraduate program ($1,200 per year)
- Participation in a specially designed 3-day Leadership Development Seminar
- An opportunity to be mentored by a business leader at GE in Vietnam
- Participation in community development projects
Who Can Apply?
Only applicants who meet the eligibility criteria described below will be considered for the award
- Are Vietnamese citizens
- Are first-year full-time students at a participating Vietnamese university
- Are studying business, engineering or the sciences
- Exhibit excellent performance, as demonstrated by first semester university results and high school transcripts
- Are economically disadvantaged, as evidenced by proper documents/certifications

Only 1-st year students from the following universities may apply:
- Can Tho University
- Da Nang University
- Foreign Trade University Hanoi & Ho Chi Minh City
- Hanoi National Economics University
- Hanoi University of Technology
- Hue University
- Nha Trang University
- University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City
- Vietnam National University, Hanoi
- Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City
Application
All applicants are required to submit the following documentation:
- Application form* (must be filled in English) (click on

- An essay written in English**
- High school transcripts – official copy
- First semester university results – official copy
- Two letters of recommendation
- Proof of difficult financial situation – must be certified by authorized organization(s)

** Essay topic is included in the application form
Incomplete application materials or application materials received after May 31, 2010 will not be considered. Application materials will not be returned to applicants.
What is the Selection Procedure?
A selection committee will evaluate all applications. Each applicant’s motivation and academic potential will be assessed. Selection decisions are final. There is no appeal process.
