Helen Huntley served as Director of the Intensive English Program at West Virginia University from 1996-2006, during which time she was a member of several international advisory committees and participated in creating international partnerships and recruitment of international students. During this period, she served a term as President of Three Rivers TESOL, published widely, and presented at numerous international conferences. She also authored a textbook, Essential Academic Vocabular (Heinle Cengage), and co-authored the Panorama Listening (Oxford) series. In 2006-07, she was a Fulbright Scholar in Mexico, where she conducted teacher training and provided consulting services for teachers and programs throughout Baja California. For the last three years, she has been a Senior English Language Fellow in Vietnam working on a variety of projects for the Ministry of Education and Training, Hanoi University, and the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy, Hanoi. She has conducted workshops on language teaching methodologies and testing at universities throughout Vietnam, and has coordinated the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant Program in Vietnam since its inception in 2008. Starting in January, 2010, she assumes the position of Country Director/Vietnam of the Institute of International Education (IIE), based in Hanoi.
