Founded in 1919 to promote peace and understanding through cultural and educational exchange, IIE is one of the world's largest and most experienced international education and training organizations. We are committed to delivering program excellence to a diverse range of participants, sponsors, and donors.

Headquartered in New York City, IIE also has an office in Washington, D.C. and four regional centers in the United States, including Chicago (IL), Denver (CO), Houston (TX) and San Francisco (CA). In addition, IIE has offices in a number of international locations, including China/Beijing, China/Hong Kong, Egypt, Ethiopia, Europe, India, Indonesia, Latin America (based in Mexico), Thailand, Russia, and Ukraine, in addition to Vietnam.  

IIE-Vietnam administers academic admissions tests such as the Institutional Testing Program (ITP)-TOEFL, GRE and SAT on behalf of the Educational Testing Service (ETS) and the LSAT on behalf of the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) and promotes and/or manages the following scholarship and fellowship programs such as the the SMBC Global Foundation Scholarship and GE Foundation Scholar-Leaders Program.

The Institute also organizes US Higher Education Fairs in Hanoi, Danang and Ho Chi Minh City, as well as other fairs, including ones organized on behalf of the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC).      

Finally, IIE-Vietnam offers a variety of services to US colleges and universities that wish to establish a presence in Vietnam and Vietnamese institutions that would like to reach out to their US counterparts.
 
IIE has been active in Vietnam since 1992 and has the main office in Hanoi.
