Towson’s College of Business and Economics offers an undergraduate business program with students enrolled in a cohort program at the University of Danang in Vietnam. Students in the cohort study for the first and fourth years at the University of Danang and attend classes for their second and third years at Towson University. Since the program was established in fall 2006, four students from the University of Danang are currently enrolled in courses at Towson University.

Texas Tech University and the Institute for International Relations, Hanoi

Joint graduate degree program started in 2007 for Vietnamese students at IIR. The Institute trains all of Vietnam’s future diplomats and is similar to the US State Departments Foreign Service Institute.

The joint degree program will allow qualified Vietnamese students to receive their first year of graduate study in Hanoi followed by a year at Texas Tech. Vietnamese students who successfully complete the program will receive a master of arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on International Relations and American Studies from Texas Tech. The agreement is historic as it is the first joint degree program approved by the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training.

MARD will fund Masters and Doctorate students specializing in areas such as plant science, animal science and forestry. Students will also receive laboratory support from University of Missouri academic advisors. State University of New York at Buffalo (UB) and Thai Nguyen University of Technology (TNUT)

With the assistance of UB’s Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, TNUT will begin teaching UB’s undergraduate mechanical engineering curriculum to its own students in fall 2008 with support from the Ministry of Education and Training program. MoET will provide support to building learning and teaching facilities to the same standards required by UB’s curriculum and to support the exchange of personnel between the two departments. UB will also assist TNUT in its efforts to gain accreditation from the American Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) and is interested in creating new study abroad opportunities for its students in Vietnam.
